ADIDAS’ NEW SAMBA MARY JANE

Adidas is rewriting the rules of classic footwear with the Samba Mary Jane, their new and  daring hybrid of vintage charm and streetwear edge. By fusing the timeless femininity of the Mary Jane with the sporty practicality of the Samba, Adidas has delivered a shoe that feels classic yet modern. Expected to drop in summer 2025, the Samba Mary Jane.

The signature T-toe suede, gum sole, and three-stripe branding remain intact, but the upper has been reimagined—lacing is swapped for a sleek Velcro strap, and the cut-out design transforms the sneaker into an effortless slip-on. Launching in black-and-white colorways, this bold remix speaks to a generation that loves to blur the lines between vintage and contemporary style.

This release is more than just a redesign—it’s an indicator of where sneaker culture is heading. We’ve seen luxury labels and streetwear giants reinterpret Mary Janes such as Loewe, Mason Margiela and Dr.Martens.

Now, Adidas is bringing the trend to its most beloved sneaker silhouette. With past Samba reinventions—like the Samba 62 —proving that the model is anything but static, this latest iteration continues to elevate a shoe that has continued to rise in popularity.

The Samba Mary Jane is set to redefine casual footwear. Whether you see it as a playful nod to beloved shoes or a fresh statement in sneaker innovation, one thing is certain—Adidas isn’t done evolving the Samba just yet. A twist we didn’t see coming but should have.
